I'm afraid this report is rather ill-informed throughout. They've rolled out the age-old soundbites for 2012. Let's take the Dukan example...it states it's bad for you, that such fad diets lack calcium. Err, clearly they have not employed the academic rigour they should have here. I would suggest that they read the Dukan plan to find out where a large amount of 'protein' comes from and the subsequent calcium content of that protein - milk, yoghurt, etc, etc. Same with fibre and take a look at the salt recommendations...Also, maybe read the bit about the psychology of eating/dieting in there. My message then is to stop with the cliches and provide a better informed discussion next time. That, or keep the opinions to yourself. Less dangerous that way
