Support your LINk

There are many ways you can support Local Involvement Networks (LINks) and help increase the number of people who participate in it. They include:

  • Joining your LINk so you can have your say on a range of issues
  • Talking about LINks to friends, family and work colleagues and encouraging them to join their local network
  • Promoting LINks in your place of work, community centre or local shops by displaying posters and leaflets available from the LINk or its host organisation
  • Inviting a LINk member to come and speak at your organisation, faith group or charity to discuss the benefits of LINk participation for both individuals and the wider community
  • Encouraging your LINk to have an open day
  • Establishing a LINk presence at local events such as car boot sales and school fetes

Getting involved is easy and you can choose how much or little involvement you have. For instance you could:

  • Spend a few minutes answering a survey
  • Attend an occasional meeting on an issue that interests you
  • Get involved in an online group
  • Become an authorised representative who visits services to see how they are run

Your LINk will be able to provide information about how to get involved in any of its activities. Search for a LINk near you on this website.
