The iPhone app and the desktop widget give you a daily motivational message to support you during the first 30 days of stopping smoking, plus instant tips and facts at any time. The real-time counter on each displays the minutes, hours and days you’ve been smokefree, and keeps track of the money you've saved.

Quit Smoking iPhone app

Download the app
Enter the number of cigarettes you smoke, on average, per day. Adjust the quit date to match the day and time that you stopped. You can adjust this at any time, so if you relapse you can easily reset the app.

Daily message
The app automatically updates every 24 hours with a new motivational message to support you during the first 30 days of stopping. At the end of 30 days you can keep the counter going for as long as you want.

Each message includes a link to get more information.

Top tips and facts
These can be activated at any time. They provide instant facts, tips and ideas to help you successfully stay smokefree.

Helpline
You can speak to an adviser by tapping the NHS Smoking Helpline button. The helpline is available seven days a week, 7am to 11pm.

No iPhone?
If you don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch, you can freetext the word CALCULATOR to 64746 to receive a link to a smoking calculator on the mobile web.

Getting started is easy
Once you’ve decided you’re ready to quit, download the widget to your computer. This takes less than a minute. Enter the number of cigarettes you smoke, on average, per day, and adjust the quit date to match the day and time that you want to stop. You can adjust this at any time, so if you relapse you can reset by simply clicking on the information button.

Daily message, ideas and helpline
The widget gives you a daily message, access to top tips, ideas and facts, and a direct link to the NHS Stop Smoking Helpline in the same way as the iPhone app.
