Diversity street dance routines

Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity have filmed some of their favourite dance routines to inspire people to get up and get moving.

Tapping into the dance craze gripping the nation, the street dance sensations have joined forces with the Department of Health to help boost activity levels.

Ashley Banjo, lead choreographer for the 11-member group, says dancing is a fun way for all the family to get active.

“Dance has been such an important part of all our lives,” he says. “It’s a great way to keep fit, burn energy and have fun with your friends and family."

The Let’s Dance with Change4Life campaign is the latest part of the Change4Life movement to get families eating well, moving more and living longer.

From hip-hop to the foxtrot, dance is going through a spell of unprecedented growth. There’s been surge in dance class membership in recent years, inspired no doubt by TV shows such as Britain's Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice.

Building on this dance fever, the government believes dance can play a key role in the fight against obesity, heart disease and other serious health problems.

The beauty of dance is that it’s free, you don't need any special gear, and you don't even need to leave the house. It's perfect for rainy days or if you're just looking for something fun to do.

Perri Kiely, Diversity’s youngest member, says their online routines are easy to follow.

“I absolutely love to dance,” he says. “I think it’s a really fun way to keep active and has helped me make lots of friends.

“Let’s Dance with Change4Life is a really great way for kids to have a go at some of our moves. It doesn't matter how good you are, it's all about the dancing.”

Change4Life’s Let’s Dance is packed with great new dance routines, games and ideas to encourage all the family to start dancing.

From body popping for beginners and steps for the foxtrot, to simple games that can be enjoyed at home, there’s no shortage of inspiration.
