To be successful, Change4Life faces the challenge of getting families to change their lifestyles. We work with national partners, including commercial brands, government departments and NGOs, to reach far more people than we could alone. Many of these brands can talk to our audience in ways that we can’t - and we can use this to help influence people’s behaviour.

Costcutter Supermarkets Group

Costcutter is supporting Change4Life by encouraging local shops to stock a broad range of fruit and vegetables.

It is committed to this project because it recognises the opportunities for retailers, customers and communities if the provision of fruit and vegetables in local shops is improved.

Costcutter is encouraging stores:

  • to increase their range of fruit and vegetables,
  • to give more space to this category,
  • to site it in a more prominent position in stores,
  • to use the Change4Life branding in fruit and vegetable fixtures, and
  • to develop local marketing plans.

In carrying out this work, Costcutter is working with the Department of Health, primary care trusts, local health workers, schools and other local agencies.
