Making a Change4Life doesn’t need to be difficult. With a little help, it can be really rewarding and fun! Here are some suggestions for small, easy, steps you can make to help put you and your family happily on your way.

Peas

1. Cook
boil, microwave or steam in just a few minutes and serve as 1 of your 5 A DAY with your main meal.
2. Add
throw a handful of peas into your kids’ favourite dinners, like pasta, spag bol, cottage pie, soups and stews.
3. Mash
gently heat in a pan with a little water until soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool a little. Blend or mash until almost smooth. Serve as a side dish or spread over the top of fish or meat 15 minutes before the end of its cooking time.
4. Micro
it only takes a few minutes to cook tinned or frozen peas in the microwave, so it’s easy to add 1 of their 5 A DAY to any meal.
5. Snack
try sugar snap peas for a healthy kids snack.
6. Salad
ejoy in pasta, rice or any of your favourite salads.
